about me

What you should know about me

Biotechnologist

In 2014 I graduated from Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun, Poland with a Bachelor of Science degree. Several courses and internships later I still aim at deepening my medical and life science knowledge.

linguist

My formal linguistic education includes: 'Postgraduate Programme for Specialised Translators', AMU Faculty of English (2016); 'Proper Polish: Postgraduate Studies for Translators, Revisors and Post-Editors', AMU Faculty of Polish and Classical Philology (2020).

translator

In my line of work I combine my scientific knowledge and language skills. This allows me to ensure that every translation is not only beautiful but also, and even more importantly, correct.

enterpreneur

Running my own business taught me that my name is a promise. Promise that you will receive a top-notch translation, always on time. And that I will take care of you to the most of my abilities.

I firmy believe that correct translation requires knowledge beyond language comprehension.

My story

When in 2011 I celebrated passing my PAT certificate (Profiel Academische Taalvaardigheid, Dutch C1) I thought that I got over the hump and translation world is wide open.

And it kind of was – I started to gain experience. Just so it happened that one of the first translations I got was medical paper with highly specialised terminology. And yes – I understood the words but I did not understand the essence.

I spent days (and nights) reading, learning, trying to comprehend the meaning and even though I did my best the result was mediocre. The strangest thing was, I loved every second of the struggle. I knew that by accident I discovered my path. Then I decided – I need to study science.

Few months later and half a country further I enrolled in Biotechnology at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun. It turned out to be the best decision of my life. I’ve loved it since the first Cell Biology lecture. So much so, that I briefly considered career in science ^_^

Eventually, passion for languages prevailed. In 2016 I graduated form Postgraduate Programme for Specialised Translators at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań with clear vision in mind to become a medical translator.

So here I am a few years later living the dream and helping people.
